Direxion’s new fund provides exposure to bonds from 55 EM countries

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Aug. 17 – Direxion launched the Direxion Daily Emerging Markets Bond Bull 3X Shares fund (EMBU), which provides exposure to dollar-denominated bonds issued by 55 emerging market countries, according to a press release.

The fund seeks to achieve 300% of the daily performance of the J.P. Morgan EMBI Global Core index.

"Emerging market bonds can offer the opportunity to gain higher yield and return, which has been the case recently," Sylvia Jablonski, managing director at Direxion, said in the release.

"Traders often look to emerging market bonds as a means to support or express bullish views on the prospect for growth and development of these nations."

Rafferty Asset Management, LLC is the investment manager to Direxion funds.
