Beaulieu Group secures court approval of $2.6 million property sale

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Jan. 12 – Beaulieu Group, LLC received court approval of the $2.6 million sale of three pieces of property and equipment and machinery from a fourth plant to Cohutta Property Investments, LLC, according to an order filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

The properties being sold are located in Eufaula, Ala.; Calhoun, Ga.; and Murray County, Ga.

Because the property has been extensively marketed and it believes that the buyer’s offer reflects the highest and best price that could realistically be obtained within the foreseeable future, Beaulieu said it has agreed to stop marketing the property and sell it via a private sale.

Dalton, Ga.-based Beaulieu Group is a privately owned manufacturer and distributor of flooring products. The company filed bankruptcy on July 16 under Chapter 11 case number 17-41677.
