S&P elevates Athene Holding

S&P said it raised its financial strength and issuer credit ratings on Athene's core operating subsidiaries to A from A- and raised the issuer credit rating on the holding company, Athene Holding Ltd., to BBB+ from BBB.

The outlook is stable.

“We raised our ratings on Athene's core insurance operating subsidiaries to reflect the group's improved business diversification,” S&P said in a news release.
