DBRS rates Abanca notes BBB(low)

DBRS said it assigned BBB(low) ratings to Abanca Corporacion Bancaria SA’s subordinated debt. These instruments are included in the bank’s €5 billion medium-term note program dated June 12.

The agency said the rating is in line with its methodology for assigning ratings to subordinated debt sold by banks, which calls for a rating two notches below the bank’s issuer rating and intrinsic assessment, which is this case is BBB(high).

The trend is stable.
