Fitch affirms BBVA Bancomer

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed BBVA Bancomer, SA’s ratings, including its viability rating at a- and its long- and short-term foreign and local currency issuer default ratings at A- and F1, respectively.

The agency also affirmed the long- and short-term national scale ratings of BBVA Bancomer, Casa de Bolsa BBVA Bancomer, SA de CV, Grupo Financiero BBVA Bancomer and BBVA Leasing Mexico, SA de CV at AAA(mex)/F1+(mex).

The outlook is stable.

Fitch said BBVA Bancomer's issuer default ratings and national ratings are driven by its standalone profile as reflected in its viability rating.

The bank's viability rating and issuer default ratings do not factor in any extraordinary support from its parent, BBVA (A-/stable), the agency said.

BBVA Bancomer's local debt issuances are rated at the same level as the national scale long-term rating, as the debt is senior unsecured, Fitch added.
