RBC plans buffered enhanced return notes tied to iShares Russell Midcap

Chicago, March 17 – Royal Bank of Canada plans to price buffered enhanced return notes due April 2, 2019 linked to the iShares Russell Midcap exchange-traded fund, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of any fund gain, up to a maximum redemption amount of 116% to 120% of par.

Investors will receive par if the fund falls by up to 10% and will be fully exposed to any losses beyond 10%.

RBC Capital Markets, LLC is the underwriter.

The notes will price on March 28 and settle on March 31.

The Cusip number is 78012KE60.
