Fitch lifts Enel Americas

Fitch Ratings said it upgraded Enel Americas SA's long-term foreign and local currency issuer default ratings to BBB+ from BBB and long-term national scale rating to AA(cl) from AA-(cl).

In addition, the agency affirmed the company’s short-term national scale rating at N1+ and national equity rating at Primera Clase Nivel 1 (cl).

These rating actions affect the company's outstanding international bonds and domestic bonds.

Fitch said the actions reflect Enel Americas' strong and sustained credit metrics coupled with a solid business platform with a strong degree of business and geographic diversification. Enel Americas is Latin Americas largest private power company, with generation and distribution businesses in Colombia, Peru, Brazil and Argentina.
