Humble Surgical Hospital creditors committee ruled disbanded by court

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Jan. 26 – Humble Surgical Hospital, LLC’s committee of unsecured creditors was disbanded Thursday by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

In Thursday’s order, the court vacated the U.S. Trustee’s appointment of creditors to the committee.

No reason was given in the filing.

As previously reported, a three-member committee was appointed by the U.S. Trustee, Judy A. Robbins, on March 13, 2017. The committee members were Jennifer Fore of Lone Star Extremities, LLC, Thomas Czarnecki of Olympus Corp. of the Americas and Shane Reed of Medline Industries, Inc.

The Humble, Texas-based hospital provides specialized surgical and ancillary services. The company filed bankruptcy on Feb. 24, 2017 under Chapter 11 case number 17-31078.
