By Rebecca Melvin

New York, June 29 – The Province of Cordoba in Argentina was expected to price Thursday a $500 million issue of notes at a yield in the 7 3/8% area, according to a syndicate source.

Further details were not available.

Pricing was expected later Thursday via joint bookrunners HSBC and J.P. Morgan.

Proceeds will be used to fund infrastructure projects and refinance existing debt.

Argentina’s Cordoba province is where the country’s second most populous city is located.
