MC Sports U.S. Trustee appoints seven to unsecured creditors committee

Pittsburgh, Feb. 21 – Michigan Sporting Goods Distributors, Inc.’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Tuesday by Region 9 U.S. Trustee Daniel M. McDermott, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Michigan.

The committee members are Kim Stewart of Nike USA, Inc., based in Beaverton, Ore.; Kim Troast of Under Armour, Inc., based in Baltimore; Jean Boudreau of Columbia Sportswear of Portland, Ore.; Jim Bruce of The Burton Corp. of Burlington, Vt.; Stephen Wawrin of Indian Industries, Inc. of Evansville, Ind.; Scott Chase of Wilson Sporting Goods Co. of Chicago; and Julie Minnick Bowden of GGP LP, based in Chicago.

Michigan Sporting Goods does business as MC Sports. The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based sporting goods retailer filed bankruptcy on Feb. 14 under Chapter 11 case number 17-00612.
