iAnthus Capital Holdings plan of arrangement appeal set for Jan. 26

Chicago, Jan. 25 – iAnthus Capital Holdings, Inc. gave an update on its recapitalization transaction for a plan of arrangement in a press release on Monday.

An appeal is scheduled to be heard on Jan. 26, an appeal which the company said it plans to vigorously defend.

The plan of arrangement was voted on by security holders on Sept. 14, went to court on Sept. 25 and a ruling was delayed in the Supreme Court of British Columbia at that time based on the possibility of an amendment of the plan to narrow the release and injunction to the point of acceptability, as previously reported.

The deadline was extended to Oct. 6.

A class action lawsuit has also been filed against the company in the United States for alleged text message marketing, similar to class action complaints against other cannabis operators.

iAnthus is an operator of cannabis cultivation, processing and dispensary facilities throughout the United States. It is based in New York and Toronto.
