Kazakhstan’s National Bank buys back no 2017 notes at Friday session

Morgantown, W.Va., Nov. 21 – National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a special trading session on Friday to repurchase KZT 16.8 billion of its notes due 2017. No notes were accepted for purchase due to unsatisfactory prices on orders submitted, according to a Kazakhstan Stock Exchange notice.
The weighted average price for orders submitted was 91.7479. Orders totaled KZT 7.17 billion.
The Almaty, Kazakhstan-based bank had issued KZT 55.99 billion of the one-year notes in September.
