Helios and Matheson trustee OK’d to sell Moviefone, Tact.com

Pittsburgh, March 19 – Helios and Matheson Analytics, Inc.’s Chapter 7 trustee received court approval to sell company asses for $1.13 million, according to an order filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Chapter 7 trustee Alan Nisselson said in his motion that financial adviser Cassel Salpeter & Co., LLC identified several of the debtors’ assets for immediate sale, including their Moviefone service, the Zone Technologies, Inc. mapping and spatial analysis company, Tact.com and the debtors’ consulting business.

According to Thursday’s order, Born In Cleveland, LLC was the winning bidder for Moviefone, with a $1.08 million bid, and JoAnn Giordano was the winning bidder for Tact.com, with a $50,000 bid.

No bids were received for Zone Technologies.

The information technology services company is based in New York. The company filed bankruptcy on Jan. 28 under Chapter 7 case number 20-10242.
