Moody's lifts Elementia view to positive

Moody's Investors Service said it changed Elementia SAB de CV's outlook to positive from stable.

The agency also said it affirmed the company's Ba2 corporate family rating.

The outlook change reflects a stronger-than-anticipated credit profile following the acquisition of a controlling stake of U.S. cement company, Giant Cement, Moody's said.

The ratings also consider the company's track record of de-levering following sizable investments and acquisitions, the agency said.

The ratings also are supported by its solid market position in Latin America and diverse product diversification, Moody's said.

Balancing these positives is the volatile nature of the construction segment and raw materials, resulting in business cyclicality, the agency said.
