La Francaise de l’Energie signs for up to €60 million debt facility

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, May 11 – La Francaise de l’Energie signed an exclusive letter of interest with RGreen for a debt facility of up to €60 million to finance its green electricity and high-quality gas initiatives, according to a press release.

The company plans an initial public offering in the near future.

“The signature of this [letter of interest] marks a major milestone in the company’s evolution,” Julien Moulin, executive chairman of Francaise de l’Energie, said in the release.

“Building on our recent achievements with the focus now decisively switching to production, the significant investment of an experienced investment group such as RGreen, validates our development plan as an attractive project with a sound economic and technical value proposition.”

RGreen is a Paris based investment firm specializing in financing green energies.

“La Francaise de l’Energie is on track to deliver local high quality gas and green electricity to the local and regional consumers in its areas of production,” added Cedric Lacaze, chief executive officer of RGeen.

“This short producer to consumer model is extremely efficient and a powerful tool to further reduce the CO2 footprint of the regions where the project is getting developed.”

Forbach, France-based La Francaise de l’Energie is involved in the evaluation of gas resources in France and specializes in coal bed methane.
