HSBC plans to price buffered AMPS tied to S&P 500 ESG index

Olympia, Wash., April 24 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due July 30, 2021 tied to the S&P 500 ESG index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.1 times any index gain, capped at par plus 10%.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 10%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on April 27.

The Cusip number is 40438CEM9.
