HilltopSecurities names five investment bankers to public finance team

Chicago, Feb. 8 – Hilltop Securities Inc. named five investment banking veterans to the company’s public finance team, according to a news release.

Chris Collier, managing director in St. Louis, was a 17-year employee of Edward Jones’ public finance department, most recently as a senior investment banker managing municipal bond transactions. He focuses on senior managed underwritings for cities, counties, school districts and universities in Illinois, Minnesota and Missouri.

Kate DeProsperis, director in Chicago, has more than 15 years of public finance experience providing municipal bond transaction support for issuers in the Midwest. She previously served as a transaction banker at Edward Jones, as well as at Banc of America Securities and Citigroup Global Markets.

Reagan Holliday, managing director in St. Louis, has more than 18 years’ experience. She most recently worked as an investment banker at Edward Jones, where she handled senior managing municipal bond transactions for issuers in Arkansas, Indiana, Kansas and Missouri. She previously practiced public finance law with Gilmore and Bell, PC and was the assistant city attorney for Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Ed Kurth, director in Chicago, joined the company in late 2015 from Cabrera Capital Markets, where he was a senior vice president. He provides banking coverage to major municipal issuers in the Midwest and on the East Coast and advisory services on traditional bond financial solutions and P3 transactions.

Ben McGuire, director in East Lansing, Mich., is a 13-year veteran. He previously served at Edward Jones, where he originated tax-exempt bond issues while focusing on general municipal and higher education issuers across Michigan and Ohio. Prior to that, he was an assistant director with the Michigan Department of Treasury.
