Andres Capital hires high-yield veteran Clemensen as managing director

Chicago, Feb. 2 – Andres Capital Management announced it has hired high-yield veteran Mariel Clemensen as managing director of the company’s high-yield and high income strategies.

Clemensen has more than 25 years’ experience in the high income sector. She was previously director of high-yield research at Citicorp, Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette and Lehman Brothers. She began her career as an analyst at Capital Group in Los Angeles, according to a news release.

“The addition of [Clemensen] points to our continued growth and reflects our commitment to providing RIAs and high-net worth investors with well-rounded fixed income expertise, including company focused, world-class research in the high-yield sector,” said Bob Andres, chief investment officer and managing partner of Andres Capital Management.

“Our research efforts are designed to build portfolios of high-yield securities one company at a time. We understand that bottom-up research is the bridge to maximizing investment income and capital appreciation opportunities,” he added.

Andres Capital Management is a Berwyn, Penn.-based investment advisor of U.S. fixed income portfolios for individual advisors, institutions and private clients.
