WEC Energy prepares senior note offering

Buffalo, N.Y., Dec. 6 – WEC Energy Group, Inc. is preparing to offer a single tranche of fixed-rate senior notes, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.

The notes will have a make-whole call, which converts to a par call before maturity.

The joint bookrunning managers for the offering are J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, PNC Capital Markets LLC, Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. and U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc.

Comerica Securities Inc. and Samuel A. Ramirez & Co., Inc. are serving as co-managers.

Proceeds will be used to repay short-term debt and for general corporate purposes.

WEC Energy is a Milwaukee-based diversified holding company for electric and gas businesses in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota.
