Infirmary Health System, Ala., ponders $110 million financing in 2016

By Sheri Kasprzak

New York, Dec. 4 – The Infirmary Health System Inc. of Alabama is exploring a $110 million bond offering through the Infirmary Health System Special Care Facilities Financing Authority of Mobile, said a statement from the company Friday.

The tax-exempt, fixed-rate bonds, if sold, will be priced during the first quarter of 2016, the statement said.

Proceeds will be used to finance capital improvements to health care facilities owned and operated by Infirmary and its affiliates, as well as to refund outstanding debt.

Pricing of the deal is contingent upon market and other factors.
