Andrews Kurth’s public finance lawyer Houston among nine new partners

Chicago, Dec. 1 – Andrews Kurth LLP announced that Julia R. Houston, who specializes in traditional public finance and public/private project financing, is one of nine attorneys elected to partnership, effective Jan. 1.

Houston, who goes by the name “Julie,” has worked as bond counsel to state agencies and local governmental entities, as underwriter and bank counsel to financial institutions, and as outside counsel to a public facility corporation and professional sports teams that lease bond-financed venue facilities. She has also represented domestic banks that provide credit facilities for tax-exempt financings, according to a news release.

Other newly-elected partners are Isabel Crosby, Brian J. Dillavou, Courtney B. Glaser, Matthew B. Grunert, Jordan Hirsch, Stephanie A. Kroger, Cindy Y. Lin and Michelle P. Scheffler.
