New Issue: RBC sells $500,000 barrier enhanced return notes on Alerian MLP ETF

Morgantown, W.Va., Jan. 5 – Royal Bank of Canada priced $500,000 of 0% barrier enhanced return notes due Dec. 30, 2021 linked to the Alerian MLP exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus 125% of any fund gain.
Investors will receive par if the fund falls by up to 40% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline from the initial level if the fund falls by more than 40%.
RBC Capital Markets, LLC is the underwriter.
