Haggen reports $24.21 million operating loss for Oct. 9 to Nov. 5

Pittsburgh, Dec. 3 – Haggen Holdings, LLC reported a $24.21 million loss from operations for the period of Oct. 9 through Nov. 5 on $115.97 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
In comparison, Haggen posted a $28.49 million loss from operations for the period of Sept. 11 through Oct. 8 on $131.59 million in net sales.
The net loss for the latest period was $39.96 million, narrowing from a $42.33 million net loss for the previous period.
In addition, the company had $27.01 million in cash and cash equivalents as of Nov. 5, up from $22.52 million at Oct. 8.
Haggen, a Bellingham, Wash.-based supermarket company, filed bankruptcy on Sept. 8. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-11874.
