Moody’s gives Baa2 to Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa2 rating to the proposed senior unsecured notes of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. (HPE) in anticipation of its pending spinoff from Hewlett Packard Co.
All other ratings remain unaffected.
The outlook is stable.
"HPE's Baa2 rating reflects the company's good market positions throughout a range of enterprise IT products offset by strong competitive pressures that will limit revenue growth and constrain profit expansion," Moody's senior vice president Richard Lane said in a news release.
"A shifting landscape toward cloud-based and mobile IT infrastructure will require ongoing partnering as well as acquisitions to build out capabilities."
