S&P rates W.R. Berkley A+
Standard & Poor's said it assigned an A+ financial strength rating to W.R. Berkley Europe AG.
The outlook is stable.
The rating is based on the core designation under the agency’s group methodology criteria, which is driven by a guarantee and further supported by a quota share reinsurance arrangement provided by Berkley Insurance Co., a core insurance operating company in the group, S&P said.
W.R. Berkley is being established to provide expansion into a more central location in continental Europe, the agency said.
