Former RadioShack records $29.1 million loss for month ended July 4

Pittsburgh, July 30 – RS Legacy Corp., formerly RadioShack Corp., reported an operating loss of $29.1 million for the month ended July 4 on net sales of $19 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

In comparison, RS Legacy posted a $17.7 million operating loss for the period of May 3 through May 30 on $27.3 million in net sales.

The net loss for the June period was $4.8 million, narrowing from a $19 million net loss for the May period.

The company also had cash and cash equivalents of $41.9 million as of July 4, down from $101.7 million at May 30.

RadioShack is a Fort Worth, Texas-based technology retailer that filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 5. Its Chapter 11 case number is 15-10197.
