Bay Area, Calif., calls $240.72 million payment acceleration notes

Norfolk, Va., March 14 - The Bay Area Infrastructure Financing Authority of California defeased $240.72 million of its 5% state payment acceleration notes due Aug. 1, 2017, according to a notice.

The notes will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on Aug. 1.

U.S. Bank NA is the trustee.
