Health Diagnostic exclusive plan solicitation period extended to May 2

Pittsburgh, March 1 – Health Diagnostic Laboratory, Inc. received court approval to extend its exclusive period for soliciting votes on its Chapter 11 plan through May 2 from March 3, according to an order filed March 1 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Because the plan confirmation hearing is scheduled for March 29, the company said the exclusive solicitation period would have expired during the vote solicitation process and before the confirmation hearing.

As a result, Health Diagnostic said it requested the extension to preserve its exclusive period while it solicits votes and attempts to obtain confirmation of the plan.

Health Diagnostic, a Richmond, Va.-based blood testing company, filed for bankruptcy on June 7, 2015. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-32919.
