Moody’s lifts Aston Martin view to stable

Moody’s Investors Service said it changed to stable from negative the outlook on the B3 corporate family rating and B3-PD probability of default ratings of Aston Martin Holdings (UK) Ltd.

The outlook on Aston Martin Capital Ltd. also was changed to stable from negative and its ratings were affirmed.

The stable outlook was prompted by the recent additional capital received from Aston Martin’s existing shareholders, Moody’s said.

This financing will help fund the company’s ongoing product development investments and eases some concerns regarding the company’s liquidity profile in the next 18 months, the agency said.

Aston Martin’s also is expected to renew its core models to boost its performance in the coming years, even though operational performance remains challenged in the near-term by weaker industry conditions in its core Chinese market, Moody’s said.
