Latham & Watkins hires back Su as capital markets partner in Hong Kong

Olympia, Wash., Feb. 16 – Latham & Watkins LLP said that Benjamin Su has rejoined the firm in Hong Kong as a partner in the corporate department, according a press release.

Su focuses on corporate and securities law matters and represents both issuers and underwriters in a variety of capital markets transactions, including registered equity offerings, Rule 144A/Reg S equity and debt offerings and private placements.

He also regularly executes PIPEs, convertible bonds offerings and going private transactions.

Su has experience in a range of industries, including technology, financial services, education and renewable energy and has led a number of high profile IPOs in the region.

“Ben is a highly regarded capital markets practitioner in the Greater China region, and we are very pleased to welcome him back to the firm,” Josef Athanas, office managing partner of Latham & Watkins in Hong Kong, said in the release.

“His sophisticated understanding of international securities law matters in addition to his strong record guiding deals governed by U.S. law or listing in the U.S. and Hong Kong will bring tremendous value to our clients.”

Su joins Latham & Watkins from Kirkland & Ellis. Prior to Kirkland, Su was a partner at Latham.
