Moody’s boosts Omani issuers

Moody’s Investors Service said it raised its ratings for Oman Electricity Transmission Co. SAOC (OETC), and Oman Telecommunications Co. SAOG (Omantel) to Ba2 from Ba3.

The outlook remains positive.

“The rating action is a direct consequence of the recent rating action on the government of Oman where the government bond rating was upgraded to Ba2 from Ba3, while the outlook remains positive,” Moody’s said in a press release.
