New Issue: Oman Electricity sells $600 million 5.8% notes due 2031

Chicago, Feb. 3 – Oman Electricity Transmission Co., through subsidiary Oryx Funding Ltd., sold a $600 million offering of 5.8% notes due Feb. 3, 2031 (Ba3//BB-), according to a company note.

The Rule 144A and Regulation S notes are listed on Euronext Dublin.

Proceeds, according to Moody’s Investors Service, will be used to refinance OETC's OMR 100 million shareholder loan, for capital spending and general corporate purposes.

The company was established in May 2005 and is licensed by Oman’s Authority for Electricity Regulation.
