Moody’s: Malaysian finance companies to stable

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the deposit and, where applicable, issuer and senior debt ratings of 10 financial institutions in Malaysia (A3 stable).

At the same time, the agency revised the outlooks for the ratings of these institutions to stable from positive.

The actions follow the Jan. 11 affirmation of Malaysia's A3 sovereign rating, and the change in the outlook for Malaysia's rating to stable from positive.

The affected financial institutions are: Malayan Banking Bhd.; Public Bank Bhd.; CIMB Bank Bhd.; CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd.; CIMB Group Holdings Bhd.; Hong Leong Bank Bhd.; AmBank (M) Bhd.; HSBC Bank Malaysia Bhd.; Cagamas Bhd.; and Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Bhd.
