S&P stabilizes Malaysian bank views

S&P said it revised its outlooks on Malayan Banking Bhd. (Maybank), CIMB Bank Bhd., Public Bank Bhd., RHB Bank Bhd., and AmBank (M) Bhd. to stable from negative.

The outlook revision follows the change in Malaysia’s outlook and the economic risk trend for the banking sector to stable from negative, S&P said.

The agency also affirmed its A- long-term issuer credit ratings on Maybank, CIMB Bank, and Public Bank, and the BBB+ long-term issuer credit ratings on RHB Bank and AmBank.
