Manulife announces Manulife Preferred Income Class management changes

Norfolk, Va., March 30 – Manulife Investments, a division of Manulife Asset Management Ltd., appointed Richard Cortese as co-lead for Manulife Preferred Income Class (the fund), according to a press release.
Cortese is managing director of Canadian fixed income at Manulife Asset Management (MAM). His investment team will include Roshan Thiru and Altaf Nanji, both managing directors at MAM.
The portfolio management responsibilities were effective as of Monday.
Terry Carr, senior managing director and head of Canadian fixed income at MAM, will continue to co-lead the fund.
The fund's objective and strategy of offering exposure to a portfolio primarily consisting of Canadian preferred shares will remain the same.
Manulife is a Toronto-based financial services company.
