Münchener Hypothekenbank becomes Climate Bonds Initiative partner

Charlotte, N.C., March 26 – Münchener Hypothekenbank eG announced it is strengthening its commitment to sustainable capital investments by becoming a Climate Bonds Initiative partner.

According to the company, the market for sustainable pfandbrief (mortgage-backed bonds) and other covered bonds has “tremendous potential.”

Last year, MünchenerHyp issued the world’s first sustainable mortgage Pfandbrief (ESG Pfandbrief), said the company’s head of treasury Rafael Scholz.

Münchener Hypothekenbank is a Munich-based mortgage bank.
