By Tali Rackner

Norfolk, Va., Aug. 2– Preston Hollow Capital, LLC announced the hiring of Curtis Erickson, Peter Bianchini and Richard Akulich to form its capital markets group.

As head of capital markets, Erickson will be responsible for all capital markets and secondary trading activity. Before joining Preston Hollow, he was a senior managing director at Mesirow Financial Holdings, Inc., where he headed up the high-yield municipal trading and credit group. He has also held senior roles at JPMorgan Chase Bank, NA and Bear Stearns.

Bianchini, an executive director in the capital markets group, will oversee credit research support. He was a managing director at Mesirow Financial and, prior to that, head of West Coast origination at XL Capital Assurance and a vice president at Charles Schwab. Before Charles Schwab, Bianchini was a director for S&P for 14 years.

Akulich, a director in the capital markets group, will be responsible for credit research support. Before joining Preston Hollow, he was a managing director at Mesirow Financial and, before that, spent five years at JPMorgan in the institutional sales and trading and alternative asset management groups.

“When coupled with PHC’s recent increase in its permanent equity capital to $625 million, our new capital markets group will enable us to provide more efficient pricing and execution for the benefit of borrowers,” chairman and chief executive officer Jim Thompson said in a company news release.

Preston Hollow Capital is a Dallas-based municipal finance company.
