Moody's rates Bashneft Ba2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Ba2 corporate family rating and probability of default rating to Bashneft.

The outlook is stable.

The agency said it also assigned an Aa2.ru national scale rating to the company.

"The Ba2 ratings of Bashneft primarily reflect its large-scale and technologically advanced downstream segment, and its solid base for reserve replacement, particularly its new deposits in the Nenets autonomous district of Russia," said Julia Pribytkova, a Moody's vice president - senior analyst and lead analyst for Bashneft, in a news release.
