AMC Entertainment redeems 5 7/8% notes due 2022, 6% notes due 2023

Tacoma, Wash., April 25 – AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. redeemed its $375 million 5 7/8% senior subordinated notes due 2022 and Carmike Cinemas, LLC’s $230 million 6% senior secured notes due 2023, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The redemption price was 101.469 for the 5 7/8% notes and 104.5 for the 6% notes.

Holders also received accrued interest up to but excluding the redemption date, which was April 22 for the 5 7/8% notes and April 25 for the 6% notes.

The company funded the redemptions with proceeds from a $2 billion senior secured term loan B due 2026. Proceeds were also used to repay the company’s $1.34 billion of existing term loans.

AMC is a movie exhibition company based in Leawood, Kan.
