Fitch rates Achmea notes BBB-, BBB

Fitch Ratings said it assigned Achmea BV’s proposed €500 million perpetual restricted tier 1 notes a BBB-rating and proposed €250 million dated tier 2 notes a BBB rating.

The tier 1 notes are rated four notches below Achmea’s A rating reflecting two notches each for Fitch's poor recovery assumption and for moderate non-performance risk. The tier 2 notes are rated three notches below Achmea, reflecting two notches for Fitch’s poor recovery assumption and one notch for moderate non-performance risk.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
