China’s United Photovoltaics to offer dollar-denominated senior notes

Morgantown, W.Va., Oct. 31 – United Photovoltaics Group Ltd. is planning to conduct an international offering of dollar-denominated senior notes, according to a company announcement.

Merrill Lynch International, Morgan Stanley, Nomura, China Merchants Securities (HK) and Citic CLSA Securities are the joint bookrunners and joint lead managers for the proposed Regulation S deal. Merrill Lynch International and Morgan Stanley are the joint global coordinators.

The company intends to use proceeds to repay existing debt and for general working capital purposes.

United Photovoltaics is a Hong Kong-based investment holding company focused on the development, investment and operation of solar power plants in China.
