ValueAct has 12.8% stake in Acxiom

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 1 - Acxiom Corp. investors led by ValueAct Capital Master Fund, LP beneficially own 10,329,711 shares, or 12.8%, of the company's common stock.

ValueAct reserves the right to formulate other plans or make other proposals in regards to its investments, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The investor may also discuss Acxiom's operations with company management, directors, other shareholders, industry analysts, strategic partners, competitors and financing professionals, the filing stated.

As previously reported in October, Silver Lake Partners and ValueAct Capital Partners LP agreed to pay $65 million to terminate their merger agreement with Acxiom.

On May 16, 2007, Acxiom agreed to be acquired by Silver Lake and ValueAct Capital for $27.10 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at $3 billion, including the assumption of approximately $756 million of debt.

Acxiom is a Little Rock, Ark., provider of customer and information management services.
