GS Finance plans 0% trigger notes linked to S&P Regional Banks Select

Knoxville, Tenn., April 11 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% trigger notes due May 1, 2019 linked to the S&P Regional Banks Select Industry index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes are guaranteed by the Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
If the index finishes at or above the 85% trigger level, the payout at maturity will be the greater of par and par plus double the index return, subject to a maximum settlement amount of $1,188 per $1,000 of notes.
Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline of the index from its initial level.
Goldman Sachs & Co. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC are the agents.
The notes (Cusip: 40055AXY8) will price on April 13 and settle on April 18.
