Actuant files $900 million shelf

Washington, July 15 - Actuant Corp. filed for a $900 million shelf in an S-3 registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The shelf allows for debt securities, class A common stock, cumulative preferred stock, stock purchase contracts and units, depositary shares and warrants. Securities may be offered as convertibles.

The Milwaukee-based tool manufacturer said offerings authorized by the shelf would be used for general corporate purposes.
