New Issue: CIBC sells $3.59 million contingent market-linked autocalls on oil and gas ETF

Olympia, Wash., July 9 – Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce priced $3.59 million of market-linked securities due July 5, 2022 – autocallable with contingent coupon and contingent downside linked to the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will be called at par plus an annual premium of 14.5% if the fund closes at or above its initial level on any annual observation date.
The payout at maturity will be par unless the fund finishes below its 75% threshold level, in which case the payout will be par plus the return of the fund with full exposure to any losses.
