Chicago, Dec. 29 – Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce priced $1.09 million of contingent coupon autocallable notes due Dec. 27, 2022 linked to the lesser performing of the VanEck Vectors Gold Miners exchange-traded fund and the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will pay a contingent quarterly coupon at an annual rate of 10% if each underlying fund closes at or above its 60% coupon threshold on the observation date for that quarter.
The notes will be called at par if each fund closes at or above its initial level on any valuation date after one year.
The payout at maturity will be par unless either fund finishes below its 60% downside threshold, in which case the payout will be par plus the return of the worse performing fund with full exposure to any losses.
