Amundi Smith Breeden hires Monaghan as head of global high yield

Norfolk, Va., Sept. 15 – Amundi Smith Breeden announced in a press release that Kenneth J. Monaghan has joined the firm as head of global high yield.

Monaghan will lead the firm's efforts to expand its developing domestic and global high-yield strategies. He will report to Daniel R. Adler, executive vice president and director of the firm's investment management group. He will work from the company’s headquarters in Durham, N.C.

"We are pleased to have Ken joining us at this pivotal time in Amundi Smith Breeden's evolution," Adler said in the release.

“Ken brings a wealth of experience in building and managing domestic and global high-yield portfolios. We're confident Ken will be an invaluable asset to Amundi Smith Breeden as we continue to expand our U.S. institutional offerings and client base.”

Monaghan brings more than 30 years of experience in structuring high-yield portfolios. Prior to joining Amundi Smith Breeden, he was partner & head of U.S. high yield at Rogge Global Partners. Earlier, Monaghan was managing director and portfolio manager at ING Investment Management following ING's acquisition of Bank Brussels Lambert, of which Ghent Asset Management, a registered investment advisory firm he co-founded, was a subsidiary.

Amundi Smith Breeden is a global asset manager.
