Activision Blizzard buys less than 86,000 shares in tender offer

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 19 - Activision Blizzard, Inc. purchased 85,916 shares of its common stock at a purchase price of $27.50 per share, or a total of approximately $2.3 million, in its tender offer that ended on Aug. 13.

The results are final, according to a company news release.

Activision Blizzard previously announced it would purchase up to 146.5 million shares of its outstanding common stock at a price of $27.50 per share, net to the tendering stockholders in cash, less any applicable withholding taxes and without interest.

The company said it funded the purchase with available cash on hand.

As previously reported, the offer was being made in connection with the $18.9 billion combination of Activision, Inc. and Vivendi Games completed on July 9.

Information agent for the offer was Morrow & Co., LLC (800 245-1502).

Activision Blizzard is a Santa Monica, Calif., pure-play online and console game publisher.
