Voya Financial to redeem $400 million of 2.9% notes on Aug. 11

New York, July 12 – Voya Financial, Inc. will redeem $400 million of its 2.9% senior notes due 2018 on Aug. 11.

The company will pay par plus a make-whole premium plus accrued interest up to but excluding the redemption date, according to a news release.

Following completion of the repayment, Voya will have $337,036,000 of the 2.9% notes outstanding.

Funding will come from the company’s recent sale of $400 million of 3.125% senior notes due 2024 and cash on hand.

Voya is a New York-based retirement, investment and insurance company.
