China’s Oceanwide issues notes due 2024 to repurchase some 2021 notes

Chicago, May 21 – Oceanwide Holdings Co., Ltd. repurchased just more than half of its 14½% guaranteed senior notes due 2021 (ISIN: XS1995111736) through the issuance of new notes, according to an announcement.

The company issued private non-listed notes due 2024 for $146,045,000 of the 2021 notes.

The 2021 notes repurchased will be canceled and there will be $133,955,000 of the notes outstanding.

The 14½% notes were originally issued as the result of an exchange for 8½% senior notes due 2019, a transaction previously reported by Prospect News.

The conglomerate is based in Beijing.
